Dr. Chito Salazar is President and CEO of PHINMA Education Holdings Inc., PHINMA's education arm, which owns and manages Araullo University, Cagayan de Oro College, University of Pangasinan, University of Iloilo, Southwestern University, and St. Jude College Manila, a training center in Yangon, Myanmar. Recently, PHINMA Education formed a joint venture with an Indonesian company, to manage a network of Indonesian colleges.
He is President and Co-Founder of Philippine Business for Education, a nonprofit organization of some of the country's top business leaders that works for education policy reform. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Ateneo de Manila University, PAMI Managed Funds, the Philippine Press Council and the Governing board of the Philippine Statistical Research & Training Institute.
Dr. Salazar has a Ph.D. in International Relations, Major in International Development and Development Management from the School of International Service at The American University in Washington, DC; an M.A.in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University in New York, and a 8.5. Management Engineering degree from the Ateneo de Manila University.
